I wrapped 3 banana trees for the winter. The one that was least protected from the elements failed and fell over during the winter. It was on the back side of the pool.

The other 2 survived. I unwrapped them on April 1 and they are still growing today. The one closest to the house actually seems to already have the makings of a banana bunch inside of it.

I think that I could have unwrapped them earlier and maybe put a bag over them for the frost nights. I will try that next year. The first time that I tried this I put a 5 gallon bucket over it, but it bent the new growth. Not a deal breaker, but the bag may be better.
