“I can’t wait to remodel the kitchen”, said no man ever!

Margo wanted to remodel the kitchen. Of course I was against it, but she does spend a lot of time in there. And the things that she does in there are magical.

The thing that got all of this started was the oven going bad. And with the cook top being the same age, it was surely to be next. Of course we have both always wanted gas. And a larger size. But wait, we would have to cut a larger hole in the Corian top. It just made sense to do it all at once.

The cabinets are custom and in good shape. The floor is newer and excellent. All appliances except the cook top have been replaced. So we decided, after a lot of research and riding, to get counter tops, a new cook top, under cabinet lighting, tile back splash, a new sink, and faucet.

Here is the old:

And here it is during construction:

And here is the finished project:

We love the under cabinet lighting. We love the gas cook top. We love the faucet and sink. We love the Quartz counter tops. We love the white tile back splash.

We also changed some light bulbs to a brighter temperature. The kitchen is so much brighter and better to work in. We are glad that we removed the dated appliance garage.

As a bonus we have a bar that you can eat at or use as a buffet for family dinners!

This project while a lot of work and inconvenience, was a giant success!
