This was the perfect week to be in the Outer Banks! The weather was perfect. Wore shorts all week and showed off my white legs! LOL
We had a 3 bedroom unit at The Golden Strand in Kill Devil Hills. Our view from the balcony was awesome. We saw surfers, pelicans, kite surfers and dolphins. Seems like there was always something to see.
We ate at many restaurants. Jack Browns, and Jimmys were a little disappointing. Goombays was good, but a little pricey for what it was. Tale of the Whale and Colington Cafe were awesome as always! At the Tale of the Whale we both had halibut. It was probably our best meal!
When we got there I put a post on Facebook. Cousins Bob and Gary Shores commented that they were in the Outer Banks as well for the week. So we met up with them and had drinks and a meal at The Sunset Grill in Duck. Great fun!
I love the pelicans. We normally only see them when we go to Virginia Beach or the Outer Banks.
It was a great vacation. We were worried about the traffic on the way home, since it was the start of Memorial Day weekend. We left at about 5 am and it was smooth all the way home!
