We were at the Neptune Festival a long time ago, but it was by accident. We have always wanted to go back, and this was the year!
The Festival is a big deal. There were MANY vendors for food and crafts. It was almost over whelming.
It was quite warm for September, but we walked the whole length anyway. The crafts were quite unique, but we did not buy anything. At a certain point in life you really don’t feel the need to bring anything home!
The food looked like typical festival food, and we did not partake. We did get a cold drink.
We stayed at the Ocean Key. Normally we would not stay there as it is not on the beach. But it was actually quite nice. We did miss the balcony and the views of the ocean and beach.
We did visit 2 of our favorite restaurants. Blue Seafood and The Butchers Son. Both were awesome and did not disappoint!
We did enjoy this vacation as always. And while the festival was nice, we will probably not return. The crowds were over whelming. The whole city was extremely busy. On Monday the festival goers mostly went home, leaving us to enjoy the town with less crowding! LOL
