After the wind disaster we were definitely ready for a vacation. And while we got off to a late start, it was soon forgotten when we arrived.
We stayed at the Regency Towers for the first time. It was centrally located at 2511 S Ocean Blvd. Very close to Broadway at the Beach, which we like. We had a 3 bedroom unit that had awesome views in 3 directions from the 15th floor. It was a huge unit with over 1500 square feet!
We can’t go to Myrtle Beach without seeing the Legends in Concert. And as always they did not disappoint! We also went to a new show at the Palace which was incredible. It was called Cirque Extreme, and it was! Like a circus on stage.
The restaurants are in my opinion a little disappointing for a city that has so many. Our favorite dinner had to be Chuck’s Steak House. We had a room to ourselves overlooking the water in the rear. The meal was incredible. The best breakfast, as always, was at The Sea Captains. Their buffet breakfast never disappoints!
The best part was that Margo got to see and old classmate. We met his wife and had dinner together at The Driftwoods. We had AYCE crab legs. They were made to order and delicious!
For us Myrtle Beach is a long drive. We like Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks just as well, and they are much closer. This was probably our last trip to Myrtle Beach.
